Origin and Evolution of Laughter Therapy
Different philosophical known for centuries the importance of laughter and a sense of humor and promote it in practice.
More than 4000 years in ancient Chinese empire, there were temples where people gathered to laugh in order to balance health. In India too are sacred temples where you can practice laughter.
In ancient cultures of tribal type, there was the figure of "Dr. Clown" or "sacred clown" dress and make a sorcerer who executed the therapeutic power of laughter to heal the sick soldiers.
Sigmund Freud attributed to the power of laughter rid the body of negative energy, which has been scientifically proven to discover that the cerebral cortex releases negative electrical impulses a second after starting to laugh. In the last 30 years much has been achieved in the implementation of laughter as therapy.
In the 70's, a California physician applied the joy and good humor to support the recovery and treatment of diseases, obtaining beneficial results. From then began using the technique of laughter therapy in hospitals in USA, Switzerland, Germany and France.
